It is one of those occasions when the rumours do not disappoint as Samsung and T-Mobile have announced their most recent collaboration with the addition of Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4G to T-Mobile’s stock. The Korean handset manufacturers revealed that the phone will be made available on T-Mobile’s network in the upcoming weeks, however, no announcement about the price has been made. The phone was being previously identified as the Galaxy S Blaze Q and was reported to be released sometime in August.
Galaxy S Relay 4G – Specifications:
The handset is powered by a 1.5-GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 processor and supports a full QWERTY keyboard. Moreover, it supports up to five devices for Mobile Hotspot and comes with the feature of Wi-Fi calling. Labeled as a 4G phone, it will make use of T-Mobile’s HSPA+ 42 network which reportedly offers faster download speeds, of maximum 20 Mbps, than Verizon’s LTE. The device has also been configured for enterprise purposes as it supports Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync for organizations using Exchange and offers AES-256 bit encryption for data security. As far as the camera is concerned, the Relay 4G has two cameras – the rear one being of 5.0 megapixels and the front-facing being 1.3 megapixels.
T-Mobile Looking for a Entertainment cum Business Phone:
As it can be observed, this is an attempt by Samsung to come up with a handset capable of satisfying both entertainment and business requirements. Andrew Morrison, Vice-President of Product Management for T-Mobile USA has said that;
“Consumers are increasingly looking for a powerful device that makes it easy to integrate their busy work and personal lives. The Galaxy S Relay 4G is the perfect addition to T-Mobile’s popular Galaxy smartphone line-up, providing our customers with a reliable and business-centric Android experience — and the easy access to entertainment for which Galaxy devices are known.”
iPhone 5 Might be Apple’s Savior!
Verizon Wireless, earlier this week, announced its agreement with Samsung of selling Galaxy Stellar and with recent market reports suggesting that Samsung’s Galaxy S3 has overtaken Apple iPhone 4S’s sales, a lot of expectation, as expected, has been put on iPhone 5 to cover up for the difference and take the lime light away from Samsung.
