We all know that it’s been a while since Samsung released the current top selling Android device the Galaxy S III to the world. It was released earlier this year and is still selling like hot cakes all around the world. Keeping in mind all that, some of us have already started to think about the successor to this amazing device. Of course we can safely say that it will be called Galaxy S IV and by now we have heard so many rumors about it as well. We have been keeping you aware with many of them but still here we are with another major rumor about the upcoming flagship device from the Korean manufacturer. Well, apparently a new mystery Samsung device has appeared on benchmark database that is thought to be Galaxy S IV and we have got some real info about the hardware specs of the device as well.

Is GT-I9400 Galaxy S IV?

NenaMark is one of the very popular benchmark testing tool and today its results have shown a new Samsung device being tested and it is named as the GT-I9400. Now, you have to keep in mind that Samsung Galaxy S III had the model number GT-I9300 and the Galaxy S II was 9100. So, there is a bright chance the device that showed up on the benchmark test is really the next Galaxy S smartphone. Well, the list of specifications that came with this device, are not that impressive and these are completely different from the rumors we have heard recently but still we will talk about them here.

Specifications

The list of specs show that the device runs a 1.2GHz processor along with a Mali-400 GPU found under the hood. Well, this combination has been really old and is similar to the one found in the Galaxy S II that comes with dual core Exynos 4 processor. The specs also suggest that the Galaxy S IV will have WVGA resolution of 800 x 480 pixels while we were hearing rumors about it bringing an awesome 1080p HD display screen instead. In addition to that, previous rumors also suggested that it will bring Samsung’s latest Exynos 5 Quad chip which is currently under development at Samsung.

We don’t think that this mainstream device Galaxy S IV will be showed off at the expo events at the beginning of the 2013 and it seems like the company will bring the S IV in the mid of 2013 just like they brought S III in the mid of 2012.
