If you are a fan of the Redmond based company, Microsoft then you might be familiar with a guy codenamed MS_nerd who is famous for his mostly authentic leaked information about the company. According to the source, we have found out that Microsoft is planning on bringing three different versions of its Surface tablet in the next year. Of course many other tablet manufacturers also usually bring two or three models of their tablet devices, it seems like Microsoft is planning on following that tradition and bringing its own three models of Surface tablet in the next year.
You have to keep in mind that these three new Surface tablet models does not include the upcoming Surface Pro which is expected to arrive very soon in the markets. So, these will be completely new and different tablets and it seems like Microsoft is working very hard to bring some revolutionary changes in the next generation Surface tabs.
First of all we are expecting that Microsoft will reduce the size of the Surface RT tablet. Surface RT tablet is currently being advertised as a business tablet but it has a larger appearance and it also does not feature the legacy apps. So, we are hoping that Microsoft will bring a smaller, probably 8.6 inch sized display screen along with a Qualcomm made processor. Current Surface RT is powered by NVIDIA Tegra processor. That is how, Surface RT will be able to survive in the market in the future.
The first Surface Pro is expected to hit the shelves in January 2013, and one of the other three Surface tablets will be its successor named as Surface Pro 2. We are expecting that it will bring a bigger 11.6 inch display screen and it has also been rumored that it will be powered by the upcoming AMD Temash APU.
In addition to the both successor tablets of Surface RT and Surface Pro, it has also been reported that Microsoft will bring a new third Surface model. According to MS_nerd this will be called Surface Book, as it will be coming with a gigantic 14.6 inch display. Currently, we have not seen many tablets exceeding from 10,11 inch mark. But Microsoft is going to change that tradition by releasing the Surface Book which can be easily used as a replacement to a notebook PC.
Now, these are all just rumors right now and we are still waiting for an official word from Microsoft before we start anticipating for these amazing devices. So, stay tuned for more.
