According to a Vietnamese website, Apple are redesigning their smartphone headphones for the first time and they are being manufactured in Vietnam by the Foxconn factory. Previously, a significant proportion was manufactured in China while a few were made in Vietnam. The new iPhone itself is expected to be launched next week although no confirmations have been received from Cupertino. The website, addressed as Tinhte.vn, posted a video of the latest headphones and claimed that they will become the standard for all Apple products. Since the iPhone was first launched in 2007, this is first upgrade that has been made to the headphones.

New Headphones Design – “Like a Horse’s Head”

As far as the design of the headphones is concerned, the website commented that the shape of the headphones is no longer circular and are smaller in profile. There is a distinct resemblance to a horse’s head, say the authors of the leak. Those who have tested them say that they are much more comfortable and do not hurt like the ear buds. Also, it seems that the headphones are integrated into a single unit and no part of them can be separated from the other. In the older versions, the surface part of the buds was detachable from the rest of the headphones but this is no longer the case. No inline remote is present with buds suggesting that they are not yet ready to be shipped in with the iPhone 5.

New Headphone Might Make iPhone ‘Near Perfect’

There is no proof yet that whether these headphones belong to Apple but the post suggests that the overall quality of the headphones is of iPhone class with fabricated material wiring having the company’s signature and sleek plastic finishing. There is a video posted to go along with the specs mentioned on the website. It has to be said that an improvement was required to be made in the design as the old headphones were considered to be a downer in the overall Apple package due to the discomfort they caused to the listeners. Addition of the new headphones might make the new iPhone nearly perfect.
