Below are some pictures on an iPad 3 that had a broke Digitizer, this one had a screen replacement done on it, sometimes when the glass has been damaged it is better to replace the LCD also if there is any marks on it from the glass breaking20120722-192040.jpg

As you can see that is not really that much going on in there apart from a lot of battery , the Digitizer cable is in a different place, the LCD cable is in a different place but most other things are similar to the iPad 2

At this point when the glass is about to be set back into place it is crucial to get the LCD panel free from debris and dirt
