iPad 2 Backlight Repair Fix
As a repair centre, we see a lot of iPad 2 backlight repair needing done, some times it happens from a bad drop or even water damage but most commonly it derives from people trying to repair their own iPad and the dreaded iPad backlight error appears.
How Do You Know If iPad 2 Backlight Is Blown ?
If you can confirm that your iPad is on because you can hear it make noises etc then this is the start of a good indication that the backlight on your iPad 2 is out. One method to confirm it is blown, is to connect your iPad to a TV out lead if you have one and you will then see a full colour display on your TV. Another method is to try to airplay some thing from your iPad to the TV which will also confirm this. But the easiest way is to put your iPad 2 under a really bright light. This will confirm that the Backlight is indeed gone. You will see very very faintly a display and when you press the lock button this will appear and disappear but there will be no light. DO NOT worry to much as this can be repaired, we have repaired quite a few of these with this backlight issue with 100 % success rate.

Inexperienced Technician – When you suffer backlight issue after trying to replace the screen then you have a board level fault which will require component replacement and micro soldering skills. There is a backlight coil, backlight diode, backlight filter
